The landscape is dominated by shades of red, yellow, orange, and brown as the leaves change color gracefully before falling to the ground. Better known under the term fall, autumn is one of the four distinct seasons in the repeating rhythm of nature. It serves as a transformative period bridging the vibrant warmth of summer with the stark chill of winter. The temperatures at this season not only set the foliage of the trees on fire with brilliance, but they also begin a steady decline as autumn marks the end of many plants' growth cycles.
Chlorophyll production stops; plants cease making food and start conserving energy for the months of dormancy ahead. The animals start preparing themselves against the upcoming harsh elements of winter by storing food, migrating to better climates, and growing thicker fur. The days become conspicuously shorter with the tilt of the Earth, reducing the amount of sunlight that can shine down onto human activities and natural ecosystems. So, fall is not just a beautiful season but one that goes along with preparation, adaptation, and the transience of life.
Make this season more pleasant with homemade apple jam and buttered toast. Today, I am going to share with you a natural apple jam recipe for preparing you and your family for this seasonal change.
Ingredients
● Apple - 1 kg
● Jaggery - 500 grams
● Lemon juice - according to taste
● Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
● Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Recipe
● First, cut the apple and separate the seeds from it. Organic fruit jam without seeds is not good.
● After removing the seeds from the apple, keep jam apple fruit in a vessel filled with water a day before so that it does not take much time to boil the next day.
● Keeping the apple in the water a day before also tastes delicious because it becomes slightly soft.
● Then the next day, put the same vessel on the gas and boil the apple well till organic apple jam becomes soft.
● Now, after boiling, take out the apple from the water and put it in a mixer, and grind it well. Here put jaggery powder in a pan.
● Now add the grated apple to the pan after some time and cook it well for 5-6 minutes. After 5 minutes, add lemon juice, cardamom powder, and cinnamon powder and mix it well.
● After cooking for about 5 minutes, turn off the gas, and after cooling, fill it in a bottle, keep it in the fridge, take it out at breakfast time, and continue eating it.
